Composed of about twenty women artists from the Shédiac, New-Brunswick (Canada) area, the group Les Hookeuses du Bor’de’lo has met on a regular basis for the past several years to hook rugs and tapestry hangings, creating artwork with passion and sharing life stories, always a unique source of inspiration.
Les Hookeuses du Bor’de’lo are proud to bring a contemporary approach to the art of hooking. Constantly in search of new designs, members of this group distinguish themselves by their creativity, their thematic compositions and by the use of various materials in their creations. This group offers highly professional exhibitions and presentations on this traditional art craft.
The group has discovered the richness and pleasure of working from a common theme. Four thematic exhibitions have been completed with three additional exhibitions now being prepared in time for the Congrès Mondial Acadien which will be held in northern N.B. in 2009.
